During the annual meeting of the Dutch hotel Concierge association, Ron Stoevelaar was chosen as the new president by the members of Les Clefs d’Or the Netherlands. Stoevelaar could obtain this position due to the transparent vision he has for the association. After the revelation of the Keizersgracht, we can proudly say that the renovation has been completed by now having the Prinsengracht side of the hotel also open for guests. The 17th and 18th century buildings have been restored precisely, in order to combine historical components of the canal houses with modern and luxurious features.

Prologue

April 1st 2015 marked the start of an extraordinary makeover of our humble 17th century residences. The Keizersgracht wing was first subject to a full renovation, kicking in from high up in the air when our crane reached a striking 40 meters in height. A team of diligent staff members then cleared this entire part of the hotel. The Keizersgracht buildings slowly changed into a blank canvas for Jacu Strauss and his team to establish a dazzling new hotel concept.
