While autumn has kicked-in, there is no need to hide yourself inside. Let’s explore the most beautiful parts of Amsterdam in a different way than by boat or bike – run!
TCS Amsterdam Marathon
On the 20th of October, the 43rd edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon will be held. The marathon will guide you towards several courses, such as; the Vondelpark, along the Amstel and the passage down below the Rijksmuseum. A unique highlight of the marathon is the start and finish combination in the Olympic Stadium, that was built in 1928.
Amsterdam running paths
If you are not feeling the idea of running the full marathon, try these courses separately on your own:
When encircled by this ‘always moving city’, the Vondelpark is the perfect getaway to feel surrounded with nature. With a distance of 3.3 kilometers, a ‘round through the Vondelpark’ will easily fit your daily routine. Or try the Westerpark with several courses – from approximately 5 kilometers – where you can continuously adjust your route, by using all the various narrow paths that you can find in the park.
Do you prefer running along the waterside? The path along the Amstel will fulfill your needs. The possibility to run to Oudenkerk aan de Amstel – 11 kilometers – will take you out of the city into the Dutch countryside.
Run with Caroline
From October on, Pulitzer Amsterdam will offer ‘Run with Caroline’ – a way to add endorphins to your stay! Let Caroline guide you through the bustling city in a faster pace than usual, taking you down the quirky streets, through the green parcs and along the historical canals. Want to join?
Every Thursday from 7.30am until 8.30am – Approximately 7 KM at an easy pace
